Bio: 

Benjamin grew up in Warwick Rhode Island before moving to Grand Rapids to attend Calvin University. Ben graduated from Calvin with a double major in Political Science and Sociology and now considers Grand Rapids home. As a first-generation college student, he is passionate about helping other students as they begin their own journey in higher education. 

Advice: 

Before visiting a college, make a short list of a few important factors to you. Once you have your list come up with a few questions you can ask your admissions counselor, professors or anyone else you meet on your visit!  

Favorite Calvin Memory: 

Traveling with my professor to different academic conferences to present research conducted through Calvin’s undergraduate research program.
