Bio
Chloe grew up in the Grand Rapids area and graduated from Calvin in May 2025 with a double major in Marketing Management and English. During her time as a student, she loved being involved with Dance Guild, dorm leadership, studying abroad, and intramurals. In her free time, you can find her walking around Reed’s Lake, checking out a cute coffee shop, playing pickleball, or exploring Grand Rapids. Although she grew up in the Grand Rapids area, she is still finding fun restaurants, parks, and hiking trails to try out. As an Admission Counselor, she loves helping students discover their best step after high school.
Advice
Don’t be afraid to try something new, and don’t be afraid to change your major! College is such a great time to find new hobbies and discover opportunities that you most likely did not have in high school. When visiting colleges, have an open mind of majors and clubs and organizations that you could be involved in; they could such a great opportunity to grow and meet new people.
Favorite Spot on Campus
My favorite place on campus is either third floor of the library or a dorm basement any night of the week! I met so many incredible people through playing rounds and rounds of card games in the dorm basement. On the other hand, the library third floor is filled with tables for group work or *trying* to study with friends.
Favorite Calvin Memory
My favorite Calvin memory was Chaos Night 2022, which is basically like dorm Olympics. My dorm’s theme was The Office, so we all wore ties and purple bandanas (reference to the show) to the event. The energy at Chaos Night every year cannot be matched! It’s so hype and fun! This Chaos Night jumpstarted a year of fun events for my dorm that I helped plan, such as Calvin Family Feud, a Yard Sale, the Christmas Mixer, Dorm Formal, and Donut Fridays.
