Bio 

Josh is from Ypsilanti, MI. He is one of five siblings. Josh has a unique story of overcoming adversity, trauma, and mental health struggles as a teenager. He is a first-generation student and one of the first in his family to go to college and finish college. Josh attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010 from the University of Pikeville and has a Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership from Wesley Seminary. He has a lovely wife named Jasmine and a beautiful baby girl named Adeline. 

Fun fact: Josh was inducted into the Hall of Fame for basketball in 2019 and holds the record for the most three-pointers in a game and a season at UPike. 

Advice  

As you process what is next in your life regarding your education journey, remember the wonderful words planted as seeds in your life. There is a pathway God has you on. It does not look linear, which is okay. Your journey is your journey. Your story is your story. You are in the hands of a great God, writing a beautiful story as you walk out your journey. 

Favorite spot on campus 

My favorite spot on campus is the library lobby. I usually grab a hot mocha from Petes, sit in front of the indoor fireplace, meet colleagues, or work with my air pods listening to lo-fi music. 

Favorite Calvin memory 

Having a heat wave in April and seeing the Commons lawn packed with students. There were hammocks, picnics, music with speakers, and an overall great vibe.
