About the AC

Madison is a Grand Rapids native and has loved re-discovering her own hometown throughout her time at Calvin (both as a student and a staff member). She earned her B.A. from Calvin in 2022 in strategic communication and English and jumped into a full-time role with admissions the day she graduated. This will be Madison's fifth recruiting cycle. Some of her favorite things about Calvin are the location (accessible to the city, beach and national forest), the accessible and invitational faith community, and the winning athletic programs - Go Knights!! Outside of work Madison enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and doing anything outdoors.

The Calvin Ecosystem Preserve and Native Gardens - there's over 100 acres of trees, flowers, and walking trails!

Pro-Tip

My favorite piece of advice to offer students is to visit lots of different types of schools ... large, public, small, faith-based, out-of-state, etc. This will really help you to understand your likes and dislikes about universities and assist you in feeling more confident about the school you end up choosing.
