About the AC

Sammie was born and raised in Grand Rapids and grew up around Calvin. She earned her B.M.E. in choral music education from Central Michigan University and began working with Calvin admissions soon after. Sammie always felt a connection to Calvin University and its mission, so she is delighted to be serving on the admissions team this cycle. Her favorite things about Calvin include the fellowship in faith and welcoming community of people. Some of Sammie’s favorite things outside of work include singing, crochet, and travel.
